Yes, I already tried eating chicken soup for my breakfast. This is perfect especially if the weather is too cold.
Here in our country, it's not really strange to eat soup during the morning. It's common for us to eat any kind as long as it will give you satisfaction and benefits as well.:-)

I never knew that soup in the morning is popular in the Phillipines.. I have a very good friend who was born in the Phillipines but is now here living in the USA with her family. I will tell her I met someone else from the Phillipines.

Yeah, I've learned that it is quite indeed strange to eat soup out of all things for breakfast, but what the heck? I mean, who cares? I don't really follow the whole paradigm of what's appropriate to be eaten at this certain time, despite the effects that may just come since your body may not be tolerant to a particular food at that certain time. As for having chicken soup for breakfast, I've believe it has been only once - that was when that was literally the last thing found in the food cabinets!

Sometimes I have it for breakfast. But my regular breakfast doesn't include chicken soup. I eat heavy breakfast, so soup, is not a part of it. I eat heavy breakfast because I am working all day long. And I need to survive physically.

Yum! I could eat soup any time of day (or night)! I don't follow society rules of eating, at least not when... If your stomach can tolerate it, and it is healthy, eat up! Just don't do the turkey soup in the morning, as you might need a nap, and you just got up!
PS - I'm glad you are feeling better (hopefully :o)

I have to say that it will be a little strange for us to have chicken soup as the breakfast. Most of the time soup is for lunch or dinner, no matter which kind of soup it is. Besides, we have no more time to prepare for a professional soup like it in the morning.

Cant say i have ever had soup for breakfast. Cold pizza sure, not soup. Hot tea with honey would be my morning routine when have a cold. Followed by a Halls cough drop. Peppermint altoids are useful too. I have heard that in Japan miso soup is a staple for breakfast. Since the Japanese are as a whole healthier than americans perhaps we should follow them. Viva la soup!
