Hats off to the propiganda machine! BRAVO!!!

After reading several posts in the political section of mylot, I have to give credit where credit is due. There isn't much I feel is right or just about the United States political system but I have to commend them for one thing, propiganda. They have the majority of the population believing this is a democracy, it's fair, you have representation in the government, your vote counts, only the Democrats and Republicans are qualified to run the country, and (most bizarre of all) the electoral college gives smaller states equal footing in the presidential elections! BRAVO anti-federalist party! oops, I mean democrats and republicans.

No need to apologize, Firehorse! Every honest, decent and knowledgeable person knows that the US government is anything but democratic. And as per propaganda, I, too, believe that when it comes to false propaganda, the US government makes the former USSR look like an enfant! Yes, the people are given the notion during elections that their votes count, when the elected (or selected) officials, especially the US president, are indeed decided by big business and pressure groups. I do not believe that any government has ever been half as deceptive as the US government!

Ok I know I'm not the best spelliar, I haven't won a spelling bee since fourth grade lol. It's very sad but true, even the Nazis could have taken notes from the US gov. Thanks for your response :) Glad to see some one reads my craaaaa... er stuff :)

At least with the Nazis, you know exactly what you get lol. Sure they decieved people at first, but then they were very transparent about what they were about.

Well I've really never agreed with american politics or attitude to foreign affairs. I don't really think very many countries have true democracies. I live in Canada and we have a lot of problems as well. I could say a lot more things but I know there are a lot of americans here so I won't.
