well i think tat gta4 will be an out rite competitor 4 the new release from EA NFS pro street tats y rockstar is plannin to get a tough battle between these two... so they are delaying the release so as to check the market for nfs. also maybe they are developing the game in a more complex environment which is taking them a lot of time...
