What do you REALLY think of India?

I would term India as a confluence of culture and humanity.its a nation where one can find unity in diversity.its a nation where you have people of different religions,castes and creed.people with various languages and dialects,people from different states who holds their regional spirit;but still all of them are indians and all of them are proud to be one.we have bred the seeds of culture and art in the world.we have also a contributed a lot to the development of sceince and mathematics.at present looking at the poverty and various other social disturbances in the nation,one might wonder if india is degrading,but i would say these are just testing times and finally our nation would emerge out economically socially and politically strong and inspiring.we will see a world which will led by india and we will show others the path of freedom,humanity,justice and peace.

I come from Uganda and although it's in the third world, we like to think that the quality of life is better than in India. Some common beliefs about India here: 1 A massive divide between the rich and the poor. There is too much inequality. 2 A country of two extremes-development and absolute squalor. 3 An outdated caste system. Those things, at least your type no longer works today. 4 Home of half the worlds' poor. 5 One of the most populated countries in the world. 6 Worshipping cows. 7 Bollywood- I am not a fan of your musicals because that is what most of them are but some peopl here are crazy about them. 8 Cricket. By the way, there is a big number of Indians in Uganda. They make the biggest number of non-indigenous Ugandans, and many of them are citizens, with a big number of them born here.
