Do you believe that we filipinos are picky readers? most of my students before do not like to read at all. when they do read, they often prefer short books with pictures.
i'm just curious. what do filipino mylotters like to read? what specific topics interest you? your answers will come in handy if i do decide to publish a book in the Philippines. I've been wanting to publish one but i am afraid that no one would like to read my work.

hi jd,
even the books now needs a lot of publicity to be noticed...
i wish they could simply settle witha book in hand and learn
i can only reach and convince people around me
and you, around yours, but as long as we are actively encouraging people to read... it might still work
there's still a lot more from a book... :)

hi mathurin. i taught high school kids for three years and my subject was developmental reading of all subjects! huhuhu. made me cry every year. hehehe
no really, you have a point. maybe the kids are distracted..... in any case it's so hard to convince them to read. what a pity

i totally agree. Filipinos are picky readers especially articles with pictures or images. Pictures help them visualize and imagine the article. I would say i am a picky reader too. I'd go for interesting titles too. Just as this one which has "Filipinos" in it. I got interested.
