Save your Bathroom Towels tip

My partner and his mates are very devoted do it yourself and mechanic fiends and I have a constant stream of greasy hands being washed at the sink.
I have a towel rail by the basin which is for the grubbies and a towel rail further back with the guest towel. If I have "guest guests" coming I just put decent towels on both rails.
It did take some nagging and flipping them round the head with towels to make them use the correct towel, but the only one who grabs my best towels now is Father in Law, and he is a pain in the nether regions every waking hour, so I reckon if you try this it should work out grand for you.

My own bathroom would be a complete luxury, you never know if we do move to the coast I may yet get one. I would still have to clean the communal bathroom though and the towels would still get greased up.
Clip him? If only someone would!

Yes, I do the same. I have a good towel, then all my old towels are used for the grimy stuff.
I do the same in the kitchen.
If the towels look a little worn and need replaced. I will replace with new ones and use the older ones that would have been in the rag box anyhow for really dirty hands!

I have a rag box too but that is for the towels that are beyond rescue or which the rotten birdies have nibbled. We made a huge mistake when we first got the birdies, and covered their cages with towels at night to keep them warm, and they promptly shredded them overnight. So there were lots of rags.
I have a game plan for next year in that he comes back into the country in March and the good towels are going into store. If you can't beat them, outfox them lol.

Yes it is strange that children are very trainable but once the boys become men they go haywire! I have a permanent illness and get very tired. I keep things as nice as I can then the old boy makes a mess. He does not agree with me sitting at the computer for hours on end and does his best to make sure he finds plenty for me to do. It does irritate me about linen being ruined though, as I do like nice things.
Well done for seeing the bright side, may the brightness increase to cover both sides :-)
