I have heard about HDTV and "regular" TV's not being able to accept this and the TVs having the past few years to re adjust and all, and if you dont have capability you won't get TV - basically that's it, I don't know the specific details. I recently heard of a site that tells about what you have to do to make your TV accept HDTV, besides buy a new one. But I went to the site dtvanswer.com and ther's nothing there.
Does anyone know anything about this? This commercail said it is in effect January 1,2008. I sure don't want to have to buy a new TV, can't afford to. Granted there isn't that much on worth watching anyway, but I watch Food Network, DIY, TV Land and those channels but don't know if it effects them either. Apreciate any info. Thanks

I had no problem accessing the site you missed one lettet it is dtvasnwers.com don't forget the s.
If you have satellite or cable television service you will not have to worry about this. You tvs need to be digital starting in January of 2009 to get television if you only have something like an antenna there are 3 differnet ways to make sure you will still get your reception
1. Subscribe to cable or satellite, or buy a digital telivison, or get a dtv converter box.
I have cable so will not have to worry about this. Your tv does not have to be HDTV compatible just this new digitial tv will make better pictures with it.
Did this ino help you any?

We just have a reg. tv without the hd and I hope that we will not get any issues with ours. We do want a new flatpanel tv, but need to save up money first.
