Which are best? Serious thought provoking topics or silly fun topics?

I think the serious thought-provoking topics are better, although they tend to be long.
One thing I hate here, and have complained about are the trivial topics. You find this useless discussion thats only taking up space, and you wonder what you should do for such a person. After some time, you get used.
Talking about spammers, today there was someone who posted about seven different topics in either 'life' or 'people.' All of them were silly topics, and you wonder what was wrong with her.

I have to admit that I received about 10 emails that someone posted a discussion today. All the same person all in about 15 minutes time. Which is what prompted this topic.
Then of course I went and posted 3 or 4 in 10 minutes... LOL

I believe in serious towards provoking topics then go for silly funny topics as silly fun topics increase your number of response for discussion but not the rating, whereas answer in serious provoking topics gives nice discussion which may enable your rating in long run. is i believe, can't say about others. totally depends on the choice.isn't it.
