Why the men and women must kill by themselves?

We may often hear someone or news say somebody killed by himself.A person only have some decades but we can not hopeless because it.We should concentrate our work,study and so on.We can also enjoy the life so that we can live happily .
I really don't understand why they must kill by themselves?
