What is more important in a Relationship, to be Loved or Understood?

I've been going crazy to decide over this, and even discussed with some of my friends, there's no result or what so ever.
Hope to understand Relationship more.
What do you think? And Why?

I think it is more important to be loved. Even if he understands you, that does not mean he loves you. You could be best friends and he could understand you, But he would be in love with another person.

very interesting point of view, but what if someone loves you but doesn't understands you? wouldn't there be problem in the near future as the time goes on?
