I know this sounds awful, but put a baking soda paste on it before you go to bed. It should help. I also get canker sores in my mouth, and that is what I use. The canker sores are usually gone by morning, the cold sores take a few days.

One of the things I have used many times when I get a Cold Sore is Carmex. This tends to dry up my Cold Sore a little quicker, and make it not hurt as much as well. I know this may not always work for everyone, but it is worth trying.

Someone once told me that cold sores are a sign of herpies. I know that there are treatments in the stores for cold sores. Are they really signs of herpies, or just come from kissing other people's dirty mouth, or maybe it comes from the person having a dirty mouth. Just go get some CARMEX FOR COLD SORES.

yes what they told you was correct. there are 2 types of herpies colds sores is type one. yes i have herpies
