Wouldn't It Be Nice If Mylot

Gave us the actual date that we have posted our topics? Mylot has become like a diary or life journal for me. Sometimes when I look back at old discussions, I want to remember the exact date that I wrote something. Maybe, I will just start dating them myself. 11/20/07

Rozie, That's a great idea! Many times even I feel the urge to know the actual date of the post since this place has become a journal for me as well. Dating the anecdotes ourselves would solve it all. Thanks for the idea. By the way, are you planning to patent it?? lol..

No, anyone can do it if they feel it would help them. I was thinking more along the lines of doing it to share certain things with my therapist.

Yes, I agree. chronology in our thoughts would help a lot, specially in therapeutic cases.

Yeah, that would be good. I'm finding there are a few ways they could improve on the MyLot experience.

Raising the pay rate back up wouldn't hurt either.

I know exactly what you are saying. The way things are "dated" now doesn't narrow things down much. Something dated "1 week ago" could be 7 days old or 13 days old. Things dated by months are even worse, something dated one month could be a day shy of being 2 months old. I suppose it could be confusing for people farther away from the US Central time zone if that's what the dates were based on. I know that it would read an hour earlier than it really was and that's easy to remember. But there are places where it's tomorow already and that would get hard to figure out. (Like when my husband's niece was born in Japan. We got the phone call in the evening of the 3rd. When FIL started calling people he realized that the baby was born the morning of the 4th..."When was the baby born?" "Uh...tomorrow morning..." LOL)

If you mark the date on it, then you will remember if you need to. Come on, you can't be senile already, can you? LOL.

That would be nice to have that reference. Sometimes I can't believe how long I've been on MyLot when I look at my profile, but it doesn't seem that long. I wish they did give an actual date on the discussion, just to see when you look back at it later. Like you said, it's almost like a diary for many people. I think it would be kinda cool to see dates on the responses too, for when you look back at it later.

Hi Rozie37! That is a great idea! I think it would be nice if we could really know when the discussions were created exactly but I think that your idea of putting the date ourselves is great too. At least we don't have to wait for mylot to make another progranm for the date specifically. Take care and have a nice day. :)
