Strange Phenomenon

In the last nine days I've finally taken the plunge and upgrade to a broadband internet connection.Wow what a differance from the old dial-up.I can blast through the Ptc's and surf about three times as many traffic exchanges, listen to music without breaking up and actually watch 3 minute videos in 3 minutes instead of an hour and a half.
One problem though.Twice now I find myself listening to marketing forum calls that I've never logged onto.
I am listening to one right now as I type this message. It's rather distracting to say the least. Is this normal? What do I do to avoid the situation in the future.

I remember when I first got dsl.
Dial up is a nightmare for an impatient gal like me.
I'm glad you've moved on to cop the speed of broadband, with the exception of sites with sounds, you're multitasking is about to expand more wildly than you ever imagined. Enjoy!

I don't think it's normal, pismeof. I am using a broadband connection, too. And so far, I haven't experienced that. Get in touch with your broadband connection provider ASAP and complain about it. You shouldn't be bugged while you should be out there enjoying surfing. ;)

That is strange and no that is not normal..I always had dial-up and it was so irritating because it was so slow..Three months ago i got a satilite dish just for my computer, i could not use the regular high speed through my phone company because i live so far out...I went with "WildBlue" communications, they came and put the dish up and it is a world of difference.Something is wrong, you need to contact the high speed company that you use by phone and tell them, because this is not right...You shold not have to be going through this disturbing you like that.I am sure it is something that can be cleared up asap.Good luck

Hi Hun
Are you still a member of GDI? They usually do those calls every Tuesday. I never have my speakers on. Told you you would like it and it's worth it to huh?

Better make a complaint with your broadband provider.Because it should not happen, may be some intrusion by some unautorised persons using your connection. This is possible and company may not be knowing it.So inform them and let them catch the culprit.

I see you couldn't resist that need for speed, pismeof, LOL. It does make everything go much faster though. Gee, I don't know anything about the marketing forum calls, but I'm sure someone here can help you. I hated dial-up too because I like to download games to play on my desktop. It would sometimes take over an hour whereas with broadband it takes a few minutes.
