Here it's kind of a tradition to put it up on december 8th, which is some religious day I can't really translate into English, sorry about that. But it has to do with St. Mary and it's near Christmas, so everybody puts the tree up on that day...
And then we put it down on February the 6th, when the tree wise kings come to visit baby jesus. (sorry I don't know how to translate that either)
What about you? Do you have similar traditions? When do you put the tree down?
=)

When I lived with my parents, we put the tree up on the 8th also, since they were Catholic and took it down on or right after January 6th, Three Kings day (Reyes).
Since I've been married we don't have a 'set date' to put up the tree, but this year we are trying to start a new tradition with and for our little baby, so hopefully if all goes well, it'll be set up the day after Thanksgiving - November 23rd.
And we still take the tree down after Reyes - My husbands Birthday.
