Recently, one of my best friends asked me to fill in a blank table, it's part of her part-time job. I have been asked to reveal my personal information and offer the copy of my ID card. I was afraid someone might do some bad things by using that, so i refused to fill in the table. My friend told me i wasn't her friend ,and she said she knew how weak the friendship was. I am not a selfish person, but i want to protect myself and my family. Is it my fault? Why i have a guilty conscience?

You know the fact that her job is illegal is just more reason for you not to share your personal information as you might have got into something really bad just by sharing your information.I would not give out my personal info to a friend who istrying to get a job that is illegal. you could be aiding and abetting her if sheis found guilty of some crime.

simple. she was manipulating you through your "friendship". SHE is the one who's the selfish one. You know, she may be working unwittingly for credit card fraud syndicates.

That's what worrys me. Another possiblility is that some banks or other firms want to collect students personal information to extend their operations. Anyway thanx.

Better you could do by giving the copy of your ID card by writing the purpose on the free space of the copy. This scheme works well when you are afraid about misuse of your ID copy. Dont fell guilty, it happencesometimes in friendship, when you cant do enough for yor friends.

The conflict between friends is normal.but i don't wish you lose your best friend. In my opinin,as you best friend she is impossible to cheat you.May be you are too careful to trust her.thus Your action must made her sad. For the Id card,i don't think it may be took advantage of to do some bad things.but it's also necessary to concider much more. If i were you,i will trust my best friend.:)

Maybe you can explain the situation to your friends and see what she has to say. Do some research, and if it is really safe to offer your information, then you can help her by fill in the table. I think she'll understand.

No you are one smart cookie. Nobody has the right to expect you to give out such personal information. Your friend should have understood that for heaven's sakes . You are not selfish for thinking of yourself and family first, you have the right to protect yourself and your family . That is not your fault at all so do not punish yourself.Your friend is the one whose friendship is weak if she cannot see why you refused to reveal your personal info. that is your i.d.
