Do you have lab ray access?

Do you have access to the secret laboratory ray on your Neopets account? If so, how long have you had it for? Do you have a specific pet that you zap?
If you don't have the lab ray, do you want it? Are you saving up for it? How far away are you from having enough NP??
I don't have access to the lab ray at the moment but I am looking to buy a full lab map set. I had the lab ray years ago on an old account, back when the full set cost only around 220k (it's 800k now).

I have it since i started to play on this account, 31 months from now.
I bought it while it was around 500k.
Why don't you just use the lab on your old account?
I'm zapping my wocky at the moment, she turned electric this morning and when she will change into a zafara she will be painted Plushie and then the lab is useless on that account. I allready have a Royal boy zafara, royal girl zafara and a maraquan zafara.
I'm going to buy another set one of these days to put it on my sideaccount so I can zap again.
I'd love it if the pound would reopen soon so I can put some of my painted pets in there and adopt new ones to zap and put up for adoption

I goofed and bought the pieces for the PetPet map then realized I needed the regular one first. I used to use it every day but when my pets got to be really cool looking I didn't want to take the chance of them getting turned something ugly or common. There is also a risk with the PetPet ray that you could lose your petpet all together.

I have lab ray access to one of my accounts. I love my pets as they are but I love using the lab ray too so I set up another account with a pet that's my "guinea pig" -lol
poor pet!
if you are not particular with how your pets look, access to the lab ray is a very interesting thing to have especially if you log in often because they can raise your pets stats.

wow 800k! i have lab access and i zap my pets constantly to see what would happen...i zap pets i intend to put up for adoption! ^^

I've had it for probably 20 months... I've had it about 2 times before this time, but I quit too often and well... ya know what happens... I don't see why it's so great, sure, it gives boosts, but you can never paint your pet and you don't raise skills fast (i.e. I've only raised HP 230 in the 20 months)

Yeah, I have the lab ray, I think I only paid around 400K for it.
I bought it thinking I could get the MSP pet, but the best I've gotten so far is a Maraquan Moehog. I'm still zapping him every day waiting for my MSP Poogle which you can only get from the lab ray.

I've had the lab ray for years, and fairly soon after I got it I decided to use it on just one pet. She started life as a grundo but has gone through so many permutations since then.
I've found the lab ray is great for raising all stats except the level, since it often drops that down to level one. I wish I had thought to keep a log of all her shapes and colors as I see some people do on their profiles.
I kept trying to talk myself into putting her up for adoption, but couldn't quite bring myself to do so. Of course now the pound is out of commission so that isn't an option. I do wish there wasn't a four pet limit...I'd like to have at least one more pet. But I just can't see having another account to do so.
I finally got the petpet lab ray, but so far I've found it to be an annoyance and waste. Mostly it just keeps renaming my pet, or breaks.

I have no idea what this pet laboratory does and i have no idea how to get into it. By your post i can assume you have to collecy all the pieces but is it really worth how much u said. Also can u deatail what the acccess to the laboratory gives you.

It's a sort of random change generator for your pets. Some changes are helpful, others can harm the pets statistics. And if you are attached to your pets species or color don't use it on that pet. Most people seem to pick one pet to use as a lab ray pet. Over time it seems to improve most of the pets stats, except level, since one random event resets their level back to level one. Which means, if you like to train a pet, don't use the lab ray on that one either. Otherwise the only class it can take is level, which can be wiped out at anytime.
I'm not sure how much money I'd spend for the map pieces, I got it a long time ago. If you are really patient and active on neopets you may be able to collect the full set through random events over time. Also you can try trading any duplicate pieces of map for ones you don't have. Buying and trading them can be frustrating though as all the pieces have them same name. Neopets should really add a number designation to the name of each piece.

I had lab ray access and it was nice at first to use it to train my pet. But eventaully he turned into a lupe and then I painted him pirate and stopped using the lab. It really gave me unbalanced stats so it took me forever to balance them up again.
