What is the most expensive wine you have tasted?

Please share details of the country the wine is from, vintage, details of taste, amount you paid and why you think it is (or not) worth the money you paid. My personal favourite has got to be Clarendon Hills Astralis 2003 from Australia, which I paid $300 for the bottle. It is pure pleasure just to watch as I swivel the premium wine in my glass. Needless to say, the texture is brilliant as it glides down my palate and throat. Drinking the fine wine in the company of great companion helps too. Excellent!
