Look for a place that both you and your child are comfortable. You should be able to drop in at anytime. A regular daycare center may work for you - but since your child hasn't been in a daycare before - you may want to look for an in-home daycare. I run an in-home daycare and I find myself watching a lot of children that jsut don't "strive" in the regular daycare center setting. It can be very intimidating for a child who hasn't "grown up" in it. There are a lot more children. Not always the same person to care for them. More of a set routine due to the amount of kids. Prior to starting my own in-home daycare - my children were in an in-home daycare and I wouldn't have had it any other way. Good luck! It can be difficult finding a place that you and your child love, but ask around and get opinions of others you trust. They just may lead you to the perfect place!

Oh wow why cant u live close to me!!.lol I live way in jacksonville nc....
anyways i live like on the edge of town so everything is way far from me.. but there are 2 around one is a 1 star daycare. i guess that means she just started?...well anyways i talked to her asked to come out and look around she didnt sound to happy about it so i am definatly not takeing her there!~
but there is one. she is a 4 star day care so she must be pretty good. i kinda almost know her personally but not really. i know she is strict on her kids. wich is good as long as she isnt to strict. i dont want somoene who is gana alet my child get away with everything she does because its unacceptable at home.. and i really love the fact that they give the kids like home work:D...Haha there 2 year olds.. thats way cute though.and she teaches them pre-k stuff thats aesome to... they play outside and have rwading time stuff like that... i think i wanna have her go there. and i thank god that i kinda like it there cause she is the only other daycare around.and im a single mom.. i cant stay home anymore. her father stooped paying child support and stuff so i am really in the need of money now and with the holidays coming up.. ugh its a mess..lolol

As a teacher, I will advise that you will seek a good day care center that have a perfect or good quality education no matter how high is the tuition fee. Sometimes the good school environment that make your child be comfortable to learn. It is also good to know who is the teacher in charge and to know what is the quality of that teacher to teach your child.
