Someday I would like to publish a book of poetry but until then I have been lucky enough to have published some one at a time. I've even had a couple stolen. This is one that has not been published yet but is fun. The Dance The sky glows with first light. The new day begins. A silent signal, and lightly they lift from branch and wire. The Dance of the birds has begun! Swirling turning flight, intricate intertwinings, but never touching. These are not buzzards on updrafts. They are as a cloud, tiny twitters in awesome synchronization. A blur of wings, beaks and tail feathers. All at once they again alight on branch and wire. Their flight of joy over until the next silent signal.
