Half Dome. I had a chance to hike it the first time I was in Yosemite, but I was already tired from the Triple Falls. I don't know if I'll ever forgive myself.:P
There's an old, Native American tall tale about the crying, woman's face imprinted in Half Dome (Tesaiyac), as related to the carved man's face staring back at her from North Dome (Angus, according to our guide).

I've pasted a picture of North Dome. I don't know if this is the best view you can get of the face, but gouges on the dome give the impression of an eye and a nose.

A full moon with a wolf on it, on a background of stars and a creepy-ish tree.
It's a beautiful wallpaper.
Before that, we had various anime ones, and various nature scenes. I'm thinking about changing it again soon, probably to something anime-related, but this one is so pretty that it's hard to part with.

*nods* I had to do that before too, and it was not fun. I hate losing everything off my computer. Now I'm being extra careful to back up personal photos, anything I write, all that stuff, because I'm paranoid about it.
I have what I called "the fangirl files" on my second hard drive for anime stuff... my hubby was going through it just a few days ago and was like "You really are a nerd". :P

My desktop wallpaper changes as per festivals. Right now it was Diwali so i had Diwali wallpapers. In dec will be Chistmas so wallpaper will be according to that..

Me, I use the Twilight Princess wallpaper to signal the new Zelda game and plus I'm a Zelda fan. I did have one before with Fierce Diety Link as my wallpaper for my desktop for a while from Majora's Mask. It's just something I like but that's just me. I don't have plans on changing again for a while.

My husband put the picture of our son in our desktop and put it as his wallpaper. He wants to see my son every time he's working and using the computer. And also my baby is very cute and naughty tha's why he's very happy and put it all the time:) Happy posting my friend:)

My current desktop wallpaper is a black and white photo I took of one of my dogs sleeping. It's a close up and it's really cute. I like to change my wallpaper and I usually use pictures that I've taken myself. I just think it makes the computer a bit more personal.

I got my 2 year old son's smiling photo as my desktop wallpaper.. Reason is simple.. whenever i on my pc... i will see my baby smiling on me and that make me fresh for the whole day... simply sentimental... :-)
