Reaction to Sonic in Smash Bros. Brawl

Time to bring some life into this area as it has been a ghost town from what I've seen. Some of you may be aware that Sonic is going to be Super Smash Bros. Brawl. For me, this is actually something I'm looking forward to because now you got the ultimate dream match finally happening in a fighting style, Mario vs. Sonic. I'm sure most are aware that Sonic was basically Sega's answer to Nintendo's Mario. In fact, among older gamers and maybe newer ones, there's been the thought of what if the two are in a game together. Besides Mario & Sonic at the Olympics, there's this one.
I'm sure Sonic was requested by many to be in this one and who can blame them. It's honestly something I would have liked to have seen for some time. I've seen flash videos about it happening and have come to that conclusion that it would be cool.
Who all is looking forward to this happening and will this be your reason to get Smash Bros. Brawl? I was planning on getting it before but now I want to see how this turns out.
Thoughts? Opinions? Hopefully we can bring some life to this area.

yeh mario smash bros is like the most awesome game containg all of the ols NES faves who could hate the addition of another?

Agreed right there. It's gonna be great to see how that turns out in the end. Hopefully it could lead to possibly a 4th one with Sonic in it as well and becomes a regular for the series. That would be cool.

I tend to dislike all thing Nintendo. Sega Dreamcast kicked butt, wish they had not given up so easily and resorted to just making games. Sonic was cool, slowly spreading out he is becoming less cool.

I just got the Dreamcast last year but haven't found any games for it. I did have one game with it and that was NFL2K. It's still strange to see Sonic on other systems because he was Sega's main character. Sega gave up and I think what hurt them was the 32X for some reason.

Sonic is fantastic in this game. Not only is he the fastest character as far as walking goes, but his final smash is wicked! I decided to try and pick him up as a character, and he's certainly become a favorite for me. His moves are good, he can take a decent hit, and he's not highly used, so you catch people off guard.
