Has anyone watched the movie or red the poem? Our first story in our world literature class is Beowulf. Basically, it is just an another hero-fantasy theme poem. The hero in the story, who fought Grendel, his mother and a dragon, seems like a good character. I have not watched the movie though or red the whole story. The teacher told us to read the poem before we watch the movie. Can anyone give me a short summary or just your opinion on the movie or on the original text? What do you think of it? What insights or reactions do you have? Do you like it or not? What part of the story did you like or that struck you most? Do you recommend others to watch the movie?It would mean a lot to me and to my classmates. Thank you.
