I always hear that the government gives away hundreds of thousands of dollars to everday people for business ventures, home repairs, or whatever. Anytime I look for information I only find places wanting to charge me for thier manual which is not worth a flip which I know because I have beeen scammed twice and will not pay again. Has anyone here ever actually received a governement grant. I am just wondering if it is for real.

I have recieved information about government grants and you can get the information you need, however Government grants are very, very, very hard to get. You have to have a lot of information and even if you are a not for profit, it is still grant writing trial and error. So if you are looking for a way to get a grant and unless you have some great brand new invention or you are a grant writing genius, I would find some other way.

I do not agree. You just have to know what to apply for and how to apply. How to write it. That is the trick and you can buy books on it now. Barnes & noble would be a good resource. You can buy books there that tell you about government grants.

I am like you. I have been scammed a couple of times and it won't happen again. I know there are government grants out there. It is just a matter of obtaining them. I also agree that Barnes and Noble would be a great place to start.

I think that is a great idea. I will go there and look around soon.
