Do You Pay Your Bills Online?

For years now I've paid my bills online. I like to do it through my bank. All my bills are in one place and it takes me less than five minutes to pay them all. No stamps, envelopes or checks. Have you crossed over or are you still paying each bill with a check and through snail mail?

Infact i havent paid single till now over internet.i have to admit even i dont have an online bank acount or a credit card.the matter is i didnt have to use this facility till now.but now since i am going to get my first payment from mylot,i can only get the money if i have an online banking accont.so i have given the application already and i think within a week ,i would be getting my new online account.

This is true. I guess if we want to get paid by MyLot we will need a PayPal account at least and that would require an online bank. It was easy for me since my bank was already online. You'll find it will make your life so much easier.

Over the phone is kind of nice too. Do you still speak to a live person or is it automated?

Yes, and don't forget you have to pay for those cancelled checks. At least, my bank makes me pay for them.

Hi Silvana. It's a beautiful thing isn't it? I keep a few checks around, but I don't know why really. Habit perhaps. Hey my friend, have a wonderful weekend.

I do the same thing.. I pay my bills through my bank online. After stamps went up, it was alot easier to pay everything online and it was alot cheaper. The price of stamps just keeps going up! It takes less time to pay bills online... saving some time always helps.....

It's a wonderful invention that online banking. I love it too. And I'm pretty sure that stamps will keep going up although I don't understand why. I think more people will join us online in the near future.

I'm still paying through snail mail becaue I don't have a bank account. But hopefully soon I'll get a bank account and be able to pay like that because it's easier and I save on not having to buy so many stamps.

If you don't have a bank account, does that mean you are actually sending cash through the mail. Yikes that sounds really dangerous. But I guess you have some sort of system going on there. Online banking rules though, and you're right, you'll definitely save money not having to buy all those stamps.

I actually send them in money orders. Or some of the stuff I have to pay I could pay them through this system in my local supermarket or a cashing place.

I guess we've all heard that the web is still not safe. But I have been paying my bills now for over 10 years or so and nothing has ever happened. Hope it continues that way for me. Then again, you could lose a check in the mail too. JK. Thanks for dropping by, Chunter. Have a wonderful Friday.

I pay as many bills online as I can. I love how convenient it is, and I don't have to worry about whether the payment is going to get there on time or not, and like you said, no stamps. I hardly mail anything anymore. I do my banking online, too. I do hate, though, the ones that don't send me paper or email statements. I have a bad habit of forgetting if I don't get some kind of reminder.

Oh, I do that too. If I don't get any sort of reminder I forget to pay. That's why online banking is great for me. I can pay even on the due date. We're such modern gals. lol. Have a wonderful Friday girljar.

Makes life so much simpler to have an IT guy in it. Maybe you should look for a bank that won't charge you a fee. We have a few over here but I'm not sure about where you are. Well, thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Friday, or Saturday in your parts of the world. :)

I pay most of my bills online, but through the individual websites, which is a little bit of a pain, but still easier than mailing a check. I don't use my bank's online bill pay because they charge for it -- sucky bank. But there are a couple that I still mail, I'm not really sure why, I just do. I'm a creature of habit.

Yes, since i have got my online back, i pay all my bills online, including phone bills, electricity bills, gas bills and so on. If you dont pay online, you will have to go to bank and wait in a very long queue..that really sucks. So it is good that the internet has brought us so much conveniences

I don't like those long lines either. Plus I don't like the fact that I have to buy checks all the time. Usually I run out before I realize I needed to re-order. I love online banking.

I can't imagine having to drive all over town to pay bills. Even writing out checks and mailing them is such a hassle. Thanks goodness for the internet and online banking. I guess paying by phone would be my second choice. Thanks for dropping by, BlueAngel. Have a wonderful afternoon.

dear gtargirl Yes I too pay various types of bills on line such telephone bill, electricity bill recharge vouchers of cell phone etc. It is very convenient and easy and you can keep a record and there is no need to keep record or file. While using this facility mode of payment is genuine and confirmed and also less time consumption, there is no need to make long que in the postal deptt or bank or any other institutions. pkc3000

It really is a wonderful convenience, isn't it. Looks like quite a few people also pay by phone. It sure does take care, and better use of our time.

I pay 99% of my bills online. Some of the one- or two-payment bills are not worth the effort to establish the online link from my bank to pay them. For the regular, monthly bills, all of those are done online. I have had more security issues with people trying to steal my ATM card than I have had with online banking. I am all for it!

I also pay bills online the thing i liked is it saves time for me and I had opted to pay bills automatically from my account I think this is best we can avoid late fees if your paying for credit cards or telephone bills.

No i don't pay my bills online. Because in my country this service is not available. So i ned to go to post office or bank to pay my bills. I don't pay all my bills at once. I pay my bills step by step. I pay first electricity bill then gas and then phone. Now i am using wireless so i don't need phone for internet so i will cut off phone line and will save my bills. Lol

I use paypal more often to pay online bills. If not I use my credit card. I trust more to use paypal than to expose my credit card number. Most of the members also use paypal than to expose credit card number.

Paying with a credit card would make for yet another bill to pay. What we are doing is paying our bills such as electricity, water, gas etc. online through our banks. It's quick, easy and safe. I've never tried paying with my PayPal.
