I think you mean Jerry Reed. I was a big fan of his and loved him in the Smokey and the Bandit movies. Amos Moses was an awesome song!

My spelling is bad. Reed. I liked the first Bandit movie. I was a teenager and had a girlfriend with the T\A Trans Am for dirty minds. Just heard the song. I love it.
