Well i what i contibute is Reading... helps

As with improving in everything there is the secret is practice. Practice, practice and then practice some more. For example what really helped me is the fact that during the past few years I've been reading a lot of books in English, and this has tremendously improved my vocabulary. If you don't like reading or your English isn't good enough for that as of yet you should, I don't know, watch movies in English, read forums in English, try to write a blog in English, etc. The thing is you have to be in contact with the language as much as possible and then you'll be amazed how much your English will improve :)

My brother once enrolled in a course for call center agent. His professor had a great English accent eventhough he's not an American. The professor told his students that when he was still studying to be a call center agent, he would rent multiple english movies and watch it. He would listen intently on how the characters are speaking, the way their lips move and the kind of sound they make when talking. Then, he would pause the movie and imitate their lines, including the expression and intonation until he became used to the accent. Reading can also help you alot but the fastest way is to really speak it every time you had the chance. If you have English classes, always see to it that you're giving your opinion. It will be awkward at first but constant practice will give you confidence thus the flow of you're speaking will greatly improve. It's also important to learn about grammar, I myself is not that good in grammar but I believe that it is essential when you're talking or even writing to someone. I suggest you provide a notebook wherein you can do some freewriting and proofread what you have written the next day to see if there's something wrong and rephrase some awkward sentences. Just practice and you'll see how great your improvement will be. ..^^..cherry

Hello and Hi smngodbole. I am also learning that. If English is not your mother tongue, I think the best way to speak properly in English are; 1)Listening 2)Writing 3)Speak as well as you can. Well involving in mylot is one of the best way you can enhance your English because you are 'talking' to the true English people. So you will know where your mistake and weakness in that three categories. And don't forget, make the dictionary as your best friend.
