Yahoo! has paid e-mail accounts too. In fact, those are the only ones that have POP3/SMTP access. The free accounts are just Webmail...Stone Age!

Yupz! I always use free account email. One is yahoo which is free of charge and the other one is goggle mail. i don't have to spend dollars to pay just for the email. I want it for free:) I hope they will never charge us in the future because it will be additional expenses.

I don't understand how people would even want to pay for an e-mail account, unless of course, there are those "benefits" that do not come with the free-of-charge type (as is the case with Hotmail), and they just so happen to be interested in that. But in my opinion, I would never pay just to have an e-mail account, unless its for a special purpose, such as for, say a business. That would be perfectly acceptable, but above all, from all the e-mail accounts that I have created in the past, yep, you guessed it - they've all been free. ^_^

I don't have the luxury and wealth to afford for a charged e-mail account, so I only rely for free e-mail service. I guess to those who can afford them, they do have it but not all.
Same as you, it's very convinient to have a free service than worry of bills to pay for those who charge it!LoL

i agree with you my email is free, I'm not cheap but why pay for something that you can get for free. Same goes for my anti virus and a lot of the other things I do on here. I like free stuff too and belong to a site where you get free samples of which my mailbox is full of free shampoo, dog food and all kinds of stuff.

i got one paid account, well i am not really the one who pays for it,its actually our company (MSN)but i got a lot of free accounts like Yahoo, AIM, Hotmail, MyMail and Surfy. Each of them have its purpose/s. Like i use my Yahoo(first email i got) for getting in touch with my college friends (since we got our own Yahoo Group). I use my hotmail (free account) for networking (MySpace, Perfspot, Friendster). The rest for back ups

i just have a regular yahoo email add and its works good for me. there's an added feature where you can text your contact or even chat with them, not in a yahoo messenger but in the yahoo mail itself. kinda like it. and its definitely free

i'm not so sure when it was started but they do have that kind of feature for chat and texting as long as the appropriate plug-ins are present in the browser.

The email addresses i have now are free and the rcn one I have that I totally forgot about, is my internet service email and I NEVER use that. I go with what I am used to. I don't think you should have to pay for an email address either. internet may-be a small fee but email no!

I have one free email account and one that comes with my DSL service provider but mostly I use my free account for email. It's just a bit easier to use.

I have one email account which I have to pay because it's in the plan of my internet connection. But I don't use that account very much since it's not quite convenient for me. I usually use yahoo emails and they are free and I love them!

In fact, my email is a free one. i don't even have a credit card to pay for the mail and even i don't make any money online unless recently when i joined mylot to be earning few cents for that purpose. i don't know if there is any difference or favours for the paid mail? i want the free one and right now i'm satisfied with it.
