Laxman or Yuvraj ?

I think laxman is given chance coz of his experience..i think even Yuvraj is a better choice he is matured enough to play test matches..but he has a good future...I think laxman should be given chance in delhi test and based on performance he would stay or else yuvraj i swaiting..

Laxman I guess it should be always in the test team. I do not think that Yuvraj can be a good test player. I think Laxman has the right temarment to play in Test cricket. I think Laxman performs tremendously when at pressure for all corners.

Why Yuvraj in place of Laxman. He can come in place of Karthik, Ganguly. Let Sachin open

I think laxman is a player who definitely deserves a place in the test side in the Indian team. So I am completely in favour of the selection team about this decision but is there are a few players who can be easily replaced by other players who are waiting on the bench of. But if you think that we are now in a very good position because we have a very good bench strength. It is saying that the team's quality is being chased by them potential strength that they have. This means if one or two of my key players are not playing the managing and how many quality players do I care to replace them and right now we have quite a few good players waiting just to grab an opportunity to show the talent and this is very good news for the Indian team

Laxman has a huge experience over yuvaraj in Test cricket. So he is the better choice. For one dayers, yuvaraj is best and a good fielder too. As far test cricket is concerned, a batsmen should have a long stand and should also score runs gradually. For this reason, Laxman is better than yuvaraj.

I think laxman should be there in tests,as we know that he is a good test cricketer,a dependable batsmen after dravid in our team.we know that yuvraj is good player too.But as far tests are concerned i would prefer to laxman.Laxman has saved many matches for india in the recent past and especially in overseas as india is not good at overseas. Yuvraj is new to test cricket,test matches are totally different from odi's.I dont think that yuvraj can stand at the crease for many hours where as laxman did it many times. For playing tests ,the player should have not only have talent but instead they should be more patience.Its not about hitting fours and sixes but playing long innings. Laxman played some magnificant innings and especially against australia and the recent concluded test against pakistan. so for me to choose,i would prefer laxman rather than yuvraj.

As we all know yuvraj is in good form and also is a good fielder,but we ought to know the form of laxman too.it would be really bad if we dont give him opportunity to make a come back to the team.i think this is a good decision because with forthcoming australian tour,we ought to keep our arsenal with best available and if laxman is in form he should be taken in the team.i dont think it is going to matter yuvraj's form or place in team because he would surely be there in the squad.lets see how laxman plays and if he is not at all in his knick,i think the selectors would surely move back to yuvraj then.but givng laxman a chance is really a welcome decision.

I feel that laxman should be selected instead of yuvraj singh because he has more experience and more useful batsman as a test player rather than yuvraj singh. and kumble is also best friend of laxman and this could favour all the possibilities towards laxman.

In test cricket, I think Laxman is definitely a better choice than Yuvraj. I think the spot of Ganguly would have been in more danger than Laxman, but as we went into the match with only 2 speedsters and Ganguly's ability to turn over the arm pulled him above Yuvraj for this match. The other open spot could be the one currently occupied by Dinesh Karthik, but with both Yuvraj and Laxman reluctant to open the innings, Karthik made it into the team. Cheers! Ram

I think Laxman is a good choice. With the tour of Australia coming up Laxman should be in the team. Who can forget his fine century in Sydney a few years ago! Well.. Yuvraj can wait for some more time. I think Yuvraj can come in for Dinesh Karthik.

i think laxman is better when compared to yuvaraj.now he played more mathces he need some rest and at the same time laxman is waiting for a chance and i hope he will utilize it and he is in a mood to prove himself.and he has a capability to test paticience of a bowler which youvaraj is lagging.

i think laxman plays test far better than yuvraj.and though yuvraj was given lot of opportunities in test he has failed.even his average of 32 is 10 behind laxmans 42 so he should wait until any player fails in batting

Yupe I too agree with it....yuvraj is in his prime form.. BUt The test and one days are entirely opposite to each other... And Also yuvraj Doesnt have a great record in test matches.. And Laxman is proven candidate.. his a test record is very much good.. He may not be as a good fielder as yuvraj but he is definately a Very good slip catcher... Well I think Laxman inclusion is OK with me..

We havn't seen Laxman in action for long and so we need to give him a chance to find his current form . But I wouldn't do that by sacrificing someone like Yuvaraj as he is young and is a crowd puller . I would have rested sachin or dravid maybe as they have played a lot recently(and need rest) and would have given laxman a chance . If laxman should do well then I would remove the worst batsman of the test to be substituted by sachin or rahul in the second test .
