do you think that having your in-laws live with you a good idea?

me and my hubby lives in a small apartment. since we got married we talked about that, no in laws or any relative can live with us. it was a mutual decission so i dont think that there is going to be a problem in the future if a relative or a in law will come and say that they want to live with us. of course i would love to see them, and that means visit but to stay here no. if she lives with you from the start then i dont think it is a good idea to let her live on her own for you have her since then.

even i wanted to live with my in laws but however since my hubby is working abroad i reallly cannot live with them.however we do visit them annually.living with the in laws gives you a feeling that someone elder to you is always there who is more experienced to you.however many a times when the in laws are not very good to the daughter in law,then the circumstance changes. ihave sen many mother in law who does not like their daughter in law and trust me those ladies are really very worried.its your and your hubby responsibility to take care of your mother in law and its really good that you are doing so.

I know many people will disagree with me here but I believe everyone has their own life to live, their own journey to travel and unless you get on 100% with in-laws I say it is not a good idea, your have your own family to keep happy, your own journey to travel and one life to live you must be as happy within that life as possible, you own that to your-self, and your marriage and your kids, sometimes in-laws can break up marriages and cause friction, I believe these days they should teach in school how important it is to live your own life only and not others, I know it is wonderful if you can look after parents but not parents are willing to step back and let their young run their own household, they always will be the parents, the elder and that is not fair, if they are willing to step back,blend in and every single person in that household is happy then I don't think it is a good idea. We only live once and life is short.
