Too stupid to live...

Do you know anyone who is so stupid you wonder how they continue to live? Do you wonder if they'll just forget to breathe someday and that'll be it?
I'm not talking about people who are actually mentally or developmentally impaired, mind you. Just stupid. I was thinking about this because I responded a couple of discussions involving teachers and school, and remember that as a kid I was always telling people they were too stupid to live. My husband has coworkers he refers too as various fruits or vegetables because of stupidity.
Most of the time when I think of someone as being too stupid to live, I think of people who easily offend others. I wonder sometimes how long such people are going to make it before someone just kills them, and pretty often I'm tempted to do it myself. I had a friend when I was younger that was like this, and while I mourned when he was indeed murdered, a part of me was thinking "Who didn't see this coming?"

I think I posted something about what I'm going to say before but I'll repeat it anyways just because its good.
Have you ever bought shoes or something & found a little bag of silicon in it? Did you happen to notice the fact that it says " DO NOT EAT".
What fool is that on there for? If your stupid enough to eat something found in your shoes you deserve to die.
I'm sure somebody will say its to protect kids but if their smart enough to read their well past the sticking odd things in their mouth stage. Only toddlers do that & you can't expect them to read & obey the package... Come on!
I blame the Surgeon General for this. All these warnings have allowed the idiots to to survive & breed even stupider kids.
Lets start taking the warnings off & have fun watching them slice, crush, crash, poison & blow themselves up. Heck I could probably even get them to buy tickets to watch their own demise.

I feel i have to vote against your idea of removing warnings and stuff, that would only give stupid people an excuse for being stupid and a risk of them cashing in on us honest people with brains left. Hopefully stupid people can go kill themselves in a fashion that doesnt endanger other people, majbe we should have alot more dangerous activities just for stupid people.
Think of like reviving colosseum, and throwing alot of stupid people into it, id pay good cash to watch them get sliced, eaten, blown up and splatered in suitable grafic fashion.

Lol yeah, I've known alot of people who were like that.
In my head I'm always thinking, "Omg, they're dumber than ROCKS..and that's an insult to the rocks."
I have no idea how people like that survive. Life's more than tough for the rest of us..how the heck do they get by at all?
It's one of life's great mysteries I guess, lol.

No one is too stupid to forget to breathe because if they don't breathe they will pass out and breathe while they pass out. It is wrong to kill someone just because they are stupid. A con artist would just take advantage of them. If you mean it was obivious that what he did or did not do would get him killed and he didn't even notice the signs then most likely he will be killed. A stupid person can always become smart by learning if they are willing to learn and stick to learning and not putting learning off.

I understand the dynamics of not holding your breath when you pass out. But a guy I worked with belittled his wifes' intelligence so much that I accused him of sitting by her bed all night saying "breathe in, breathe out". It said as much about his overinflated ego as her lack of brains. And he wed her. NOT being accused of sweetness or lack of perversions,(hee hee) I also asked him if that choice was designed to enhance his own image of himself. I found her ditzy, but not necessarily stupid. But, she wed him...

Hi lecanis,
Sure, some people sometimes make me wonder... But then I think to myself that they are a statistical necessity, just as the bunch of "super-brainiacs" is. Like everything in life, you will find two minorities (extreme "good" and extreme "bad") but most will be somewhere in the middle. This applies to people, climate, stock-market,... never-ending.
I suggest, if we just would kill them all, we ought to kill the "Top Ten" as well, or else we will become the stupid ones lol
I think as consciousness evolves, these two extremes are nothing but a side-effect.
You just have to be careful, not to get caught - by someone who doesn't know you - arguing with a "stupid" person, because it would be impossible to tell for the outsider, - who is the stupid one... lol (I don't mean you personally, but "you" as "any person")
I came here to Australia a few years ago (from Germany) and I work together with a guy, who actually knows one German word: "Dummkopf" - Translated: "Silly-head" with the meaning of "Idiot". He does know the meaning of the word, but is so proud that he knows some German, that every time he sees me, he calls me "Dummkopf".
I ignored that for a while, it was really funny the first two times. But then it was like someone tells you the same joke over and over again, well fitting into your category of "heroes".
So I wanted him to stop that and told him that, but he thought he was so funny and kept on going.
So one day after he called me that "idiot" again, I asked him, if he considers himself as just the same.
If he would have answered with "yes", ... no further questions, I could accept that.
But he said: "Me? Of course not!!"
So I told him, how glad I was, that he didn't put us together into the same category. lol!!
His expression was priceless! - He never called me a "Dummkopf" since...
But I do agree, it does cost energy to deal with these people, because you can't reason with them.
What I sometimes say, when I get impatient: "I know, YOU haven't done anything wrong... It was your parents a long time ago!" rofl

You make a good point about the statistics involved here, though I must contend that I have known far more very stupid people than very smart people in my lifetime. Then again, since tests place me in that very smart category, maybe my view of the whole situation is skewed.
I love your examples. They are just awesome. What a clever response to an annoying person! :)

I'm blushing! :P
Thanks for all your kind words! :)
You have a good point about kids. I only have one of them myself, and he's only 1 1/2 years old, but already I'm learning the ways of dealing with him that work and the ones that don't. And getting annoyed just doesn't do anyone any good.
I tend to say I'm annoying just because I know I sometimes come across as "elitist" on certain issues (even my friends have said so) and that I do sometimes give very long responses and comments, that most people really don't feel like bothering to read. Hehe.

Thanks for your nice words.
I don't get easily annoyed, maybe because I have 3 very good teachers - my kids!
Getting annoyed with them never did us any good, so I started to look at it from a different angle:
They only can annoy me, if I am not patient enough! lol
You don't really think you are that annoying, do you?
Anyway, you seem like a really nice person to me, anything but annoying.
You can try to annoy me of course, I would see this as a test for my patience and as I can be very pig-headed, I know I will "win"! (Could be a very funny game, indeed! Ha, ha)
Until you prove me wrong, I won't change my mind! lol
By the way, I honestly can say that you inspire me too!
..to keep on responding to posts and spending more time here...
Without people like you, I would lose interest pretty fast.
I don't meet many people, which are that open, honest, clever, cheeky, silly and still serious enough to have a good conversation with.
Until soon,
Mike

As you know from reading ,my discussions I think my younger brother is a vegetable as well. HAHAHA! Stupid as hell. Sometimes there are many friends and family around him that do actually wonder when he will die to end the stupidity etc in his life and those around him. A shame to feel this way about someone but life is that way at times. I have never wished he'd die though it's crossed my mind how he can still be aliove with his stupid life style and ways. Uggh!!
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Haha, I totally understand where you are coming from. I've thought that about my half-brother before. I had a stepbrother I felt that way about too when I was younger, because he had a bad habit of starting riots and such, usually by running around with his stupid rebel flag. Ah, how I don't miss Kentucky! *laughs*
Thanks for sharing, Grandpa Bob!

You know my friend, I used to live and be with people who came from a not-so developed areas. Some of them don't even have anything to eat because no matter how hard they work, they still get less of what they deserve. Sometimes it's the government's support system, they only cover or provide opportunities for a few. Sometimes, they were even being ridiculed by others because they didn't have any educational background. Then there's those self-esteem, in which they prefer to be like what others think of them because they don't know how to fight for their rights.
We were poor before, but now I'm very thankful with the hard work and total dedication my father has given to all of us and stood up just to provide us good education.
I know people like that, they only rely on other's help even when they are still strong and able. I don't know, maybe they are too stubborn to work that they don't have any dreams in life to reach for. Or they could be the one's you're talking about, too stupid to live and too dumb to die!;)

*nods* I can understand not being educated and not having anything, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are stupid. Stupidity is a whole different thing. I get annoyed with those people that can work and don't though, because I have a lot of health and other problems, and yet I work. So it's frustrating to see people more able than me not doing anything.
Hehe, I like that, too stupid to live and too dumb to die! :P

Ignorance can be educated, poverty can be alleviated, but stupidity is in your make-up. And maybe not having enough to eat can stunt your intellect. (I don't mean YOU, raijin, that's a collective you.)
I'm not extremely intelligent, (consider the fact that I laboriously typed a response earlier and lost it on it's way to post) but I'm just smart enough to pad it with book learning. I'm endlessly amazed at the people who mistake that for innate intellect. I could get rich, and a plastic surgeon could make me a delight to behold, but intellect can't be bought or taught. My whole family is VERY talented, brainwise, and they said "Let's arm this child", so I was taught honesty, work ethic, compassion, and how to compensate. Even they, who loved and gifted me, could not give me intellect. There is a huge gap between finances, eduucation, and intelligence. There are rich fools, lazy rich, and poor hard working geniouses. We grow lazy in our speech and distinctions.

Haha, yes I know a few people who are so CLUELESS I don't know how they get from one day to the next. They really have nothing (substantial) to offer this world, although if they perished I supposed their family would be upset..

As I started reading this I once again thought, this could have been my daughter writing this, sounds just like her. But when I read about your friend, that put a more serious note in the discussion. All I can say is, I am sorry about your friend..:(

Ah, I probably shouldn't have mentioned about my friend, because I didn't want this to be a serious discussion. I lost a lot of friends when I was younger, and so I mention them easily most of the time without realizing what I'm really saying. That doesn't mean it doesn't hurt, or that I don't grieve for them, but I don't always think about it so seriously when I mention them.
Hehe, I've had a lot of people say they know someone who says or would say this. I guess I'm not alone in thinking this way sometimes. :P

Nah, it's okay, the negative was there to see, so it's not just you. Don't worry about it. :)
Yup yup, some people do some very stupid things, that just make me wonder how they continue to exist. There's a lady here who doesn't like cars, and will walk around town walking right in front of them and such. She always says "If they hit me, it's their problem, not mine"... and every day I wonder if I'm going to see on the news that she was hit by a car.

My mother and I encounter these sort of people almost every day -
either at work or at school.
We have gotten together and made a mental "d.ckhead list".
It's actually very amusing. =)
One person who meets this criteria happens to be a family friend.
She's really nice and quite intelligent, but she lacks almost all "common knowledge" and "common sense".
She's just very daft. I wish I could think of some kind of appropriate example, but I just can't...
Anyway, she's had 4 sons, all very intelligent, great young men.
And she lived alone in India for 7 years and travelled the world.
I just wonder, every time I see her, how she survived.
As far as those who easily offend others - go to any highschool anywhere and you'll meet flocks of these people.
Unfortunately.
Great post (as always), and I LOVE the first response =)
Classic.
Mal.

Oh, that's lovely, a d.ckhead list! :P
Haha, I have a lack of common sense myself I'm told, so maybe I shouldn't comment on others! Eek! I am good at surviving though!
Good point about the high schools! *rolls her eyes* I had a stepbrother who started a riot at the one I went to. Yay.
Yup, that first response was lovely!

OH MY- YES I DO!! LOL My ex is a given! But this guy my hubby works for is this way- he's a cop too! Something bad is bound to happen! He's so dumb it's ridiculous and even better he'll talk and try to argue points he has no idea about and that don't make a bit of sense!! UGGGG!! He used to be a friend but was a backstabber too so we stopped inviting him to anything- his wife is the same way- equally as stupid but argumentative!! Perfect match!

I think we talked about people that just don't appreciate their lives to their very best. They capable in doing great thing only if they try to do it, but yet they choose not to do it. They don't want to push themselves to achieve something worth in their life. That what I called stupidity. And without they even know about it, they die without giving anything to the world. That's stupidity. Yup, if you talked about those kind of stupidity, I said I always wonder how they got into their life from day to day. Just do nothing...aish...

Hi Lecanis,
Well I wouldnt say I know these people personally, they are more aquaintences than anything, but yes there are many in the world. I think thats funny that your hubby names them after fruits & vegetables! LOL Good one!
There is one guy that works with my hubby and seems to be this way. He just says whatever comes to mind and doesnt give a thought to what he saying and how its going to make someone feel. Sometimes its funny and very appropriate, then sometimes hes just way too much for me too handle. I like him, but then again I dont.

Ive met some people that i classify as stupid, however how stupid someone is doesn't impare breathing ability since its one of the automated systems controlled by the cerebral cortex, like heart beat, blood preasure and stuff. i know you joked about it, but i have a habit of getting things straight.
Lets say that ive not met many people i consider extremely stupid, but i haven't met any one very smart either. think a reason some people are not smart are because they only need the intelligence they have to cope with the stuff they do daily. If someone knows alot that is not a sign of intelligence but of knoledge, or of wisdom. I get very disturbed when people mix those 3 parts together, not that i don't understand that it can be hard, its just a thing i have.
