if the fees are not very high it´s good to be the owner of that place for otherside if it have high fees it´s an antiprofit collection of your goods.

Hello!
Living here in Bahrain, away from home, we're just renting an apartment and it seems a better thing to do since we don't know if we'll be here for how long. But from the country where I came from, my parents bought a piece of land and built a house there.
I actually prefer buying a house than renting one, I personally think that paying a high rent is a waste of money because after years of renting it won't be yours unlike buying one. I would love to buy one one day, hopefully in my hometown. Take care.*smile*
ciao! c",)

I guess there are different ways to look at it. On one hand, when you’re renting you’re throwing money away every month with nothing to show for it but you don’t have the property taxes and if something needs fixing you just call the landlord. When you own, you build equity even before your mortgage is paid off and despite today’s economy home values usually go up rather than down. We own our home but we’ve refinanced so many times I don’t think we’ll ever be mortgage-free!

We rent our house, but if we will have a chance then we will prefer to buy our own. If you have your own house, you dont have the problem of monthly rental fee. At least yo know that you have your own. And you can o every improvement that you want for the house since it is yours. I believe those are the advantages of having house of your own.

We have bought our home.
I prefer it because I can get something back once I sell it and up grade to a nicer home.
Plus I own it so any improvements I want to do I can - and I raise the value up on it for me.

I own a house which is presently lying vacant as I am some 1200 kms away from it and I am serving for a Stud Farm. I can't give that house on resnt because here in our country the laws are very much uin favour of tenants than the house owners, which makes one insecured to rent out ones house independantly!
I am staying presently in the accomodation provided by my Company as a package included in the perks and preveleges! I don't think I will be in a position to reside in my house permanantlky as I know that I ma going to work till my old age as Stud Vet as we really don't have any retirement age as such and my nature is also something like that! I can't sit idle and relax! We go toi our house once in a year and stay there for a month or so, Mean while this house of ours is looked after by one Caretaker!
Our Ancesteral House which is about 2500 kms away from my working placwe has recently been destroyed as none of us three brothers were interested in going there and settling there as it was situated in a country side place!
Now we are thinking to sell the land by plotting the land! Some times we are thinking to donate the entire land to Local school Authorities so that they can use this land for the purpose of building Hostel for School inmates!
Well ! This is my strory! How about yours? Do you own your own house or live in a rented one?

When we first got married, we rented an apartment, and then started to look for a house, got a mortgage, and then, renewed it. We have been through at least three or four houses, considering we moved from Burnaby, B.C. through to Saskatoon, Sask. and to Winnipeg, Mb. We now own our house, mortgage paid and everything. It took us quite a few sacrifices, but buying a house is well worth it.

Hi gwendovere! I prefer to buy a house even though maintaining one will be somehow costly. But I want a home that is truly mine and I would feel more secured having one. I could fixed it and do anything with it, however i like it if it is my own. Take care and have a nice day. :)

We were given a house with no mortgage and no rent. But we had to get a really small mortgage to do all the work that had to be done on it. Its worked out well for us. :-)
