Are you a Harry Potter fan? Do you love watching Harry Potter movies or reading Harry Potter books? If you read Harry Potter books as well as watch the movies, what difference do you feel between them? I am not a fan, but I do like watching harry potter movies. I have never read any harry potter book.

I'm a Harry Potter fan, definitely. I thought I wasn't going to be when the books first starting coming out and everyone was making such a big deal out of them, but as soon as I started reading one, I was lost. :P I have read the books as well as seen the movies. I always like books better than movies anyway. However, I did think the movies were very good as well. The major difference for me is that some side plots had to be left out of the movies simply because there wasn't time for them... which always happens with movies made from books. Still, it made me sad because there's a lot of stuff about Hagrid that was left out at one point.

Thanks for your response. I have never read even a single page of harry potter because when I saw the size of the book I kept it aside LOL! Actually I don't like reading novel kind of books. So movie is better choice for me. Now I am really interested to know what was stuff about hagrid was left out in the movie?

There was a huge side-plot in the books involving Hagrid's giant heritage (you do see his half-brother in the movie I think but it never explains him much)... as well as the development of his romantic relationship.

Oh yeah! I love Harry potter. I love the books and the movies. I am sad that it is all over now. I found it to be interesting. I have all the books in hardback as well as all the movies so far.

I love the books and the movies. I definately think the books are much better when compared to the movies, but the I think the films are also entertaining.
