I haven't been home for almost one years, for I work at a city faraway from my lovely small village.Today, when I saw my family from a online vedio,I almost want to tear.I want to tear off my mom's leucotrichia,I want to hear my mom's old-womanish,I want to have my mom's dicious dinner,I want to play with my little niece, she really is a adorable child,I want to.....there are too many things I want to do with my family, but now,the only things i can do is look them at the online vedio with my tear-stained eyes. hvae you ever leave home for a so long time? Will you miss your family after you leave home?

I do understand your feeling. Just the same as you, I don't live with my familly, and I usually return to my hometown once a year, on spring holiday. When I went to college couple of years ago, I always had this kind of homesick feeling because that's the first time for me to leave my home. but after one year's campus time, I got used to the new life in university, and became not so homesick. Now, I do miss my familly a lot when I have some free time, however, sometimes, this feeling is diluted by the busy schedule. I prefer a call when I miss my familly, though it depends on my schedule, usually on the weekend. but it makes me feel better after a call. so, just take it easy, and I am sure a call to your familly will work for you. Good luck, and have a great day!

my college school is not far away from my hometown and there are many countrymen in my school,so I'm not so homesick as now,and I can return my hometown twice a year on my spring holiday and summer holiday. But my work place is too far away from my home,I can but return home at Spring Festival, and can stay only 7~10 days at home. That why I become so homesick.A call can do makes me feel better,so I usually call my family at my weekend too :) thanks, you are a good guy, hope your school work goes well!

Atleast you still have parents to go back to. I lost my father when I was just fourteen and lost my mom too six years back. Now I feel I have no home anywhere to go to. And there is nothing I can do about it too. so wipe your tears and next ttime whenever you can take leave just go and see them.

Yes I know how hard it is. I've been there and it looks like I will be in that situation again in a couple of years - being far away from my family. I do miss them when I'm far away. I have two suggestions for you. One is to try to find time to come home every now and then. I'm sure you need the vacation. Two is to do your best financially. All this family separation is caused by being an employee. Being a wealthy business owner gives you more control over your life.

Hi, leave your family is the hardest thing i ever experience in my entire life. My reason is to give my 24 y.o son a lesson to be independent in life. To struggle and find a good job after he finished his school. I find him lazy and know nothing. Twas so difficult for me to leave him alone with his other brother 14 y.o. in the house but it is more difficult for him if i will pamper him and idle in the house just moving in the four corners of my house. I have three lovely sons 24, 14 and 8 y.o My 24 y.o is an Electrical Engineer mama's boy. His one of my mom's favorites. Grandma's pet. When i left the house and board near my office together with my 8 y.o son really a sacrifice. Twas so hard to live in a rented house with other people living in the same place that you don't have privacy anymore. Really there's no place like home. I suffer the consequences just to give my oldest a lesson. Good riddance! Because he is now a team leader in a prestigeous fastfood chain in Greenbelt Park Makati with a high pay and now he lives in his own condo unit the fruits of his labor. See... If i did not do that perhaps until now he is my dependent. Now i went back to my own house we live together my 14 1nd my 8 y.o son while my 24 y.o son happily working in Makati food chain.

You are indeed a good mom, your son is indeed a excellent one.May be everyone should experience the leaving of home, then he(she) can really grow up,then can be independent in life,or else she just a flower of the glasses house.I know, I will enjoy my leaving home life in the coming days.thank you for your reply :)

You'll be okay. I miss my parents and younger brother too during the holiday because they are living in another state and I am living in a different state. I only see my parents once a year if I am lucky too! But I am thankful that I have my other 2 brothers and my baby sister here in the same city as me.

I also miss my family though I just visited home last week but everyday is like a thousand miles away from them. I want to see them every now and then you know. My parents are old and they live alone together though my brothers live nearby our house. This weekend I’m coming home again to see if they’re okay. Sometimes I just get worried for no reasons why, they become sickly lately and I’m afraid if there’s nobody’s taking care of them.

I'm sorry your homesick. I've been away from home for about 6 weeks at a time. Once at summer camp when I was 16. Once three years ago. I went to dance camp for 5 weeks three years ago. I haven't lived with my family for 8 years. So, it's basically my cat and I. I miss my cat when I leave, but otherwise I'm fine.

I do have similar feelings as you have had. Yes, we are family-oriented and love our hometown very much. The only thing we could do are to making calls to them , chatting with them often, of course, as you said, seeing them online is quite good as well. We should try to spend more time with our families if possible.
