I have anemia ever since I was a child, and since my period wasn't regular (it was every 24 days instead of 28, and it lasted about a week) the situation was getting worse and worse. And then I started taking birth control pills, just for that, my doctor gave them to me, and I became regular, and feeling much better. And one of my friends didn't have her period, and she was about 18 years old, so the doctors gave her birth control pills to regulate her as well. and it worked for her too. As for the cost, here in Argentina, if you have medical prescription, they are free. Ask a doctor where you live, about whether it would be good for you and how much would it cost. =)
