dear shedii, i am so full from eating all the Holiday food, i had to work on Thanksgiving, second shift, but one of my brothers brought me up a plate of food, from his dinner party...everything but the turkey, because i am a vegetarian...it was a very wonderful dinner, and my brother did the same thing for me last year, brought me my dinner up to work...he is a loving brother...and today was even his birthday...but he took the time to make sure i had a Thanksgiving dinner, even though i had to work on the holiday...stanzi

Happy Thanksgiving to you & your family!
I am in Canada where we celebrated our Thanksgiving in October which I think is kind of silly considering the United States and Canada share the same continent!

Why is this the case I'll never know, considering what you said is indeed fact, but I'm thinking that it's for country purposes - meaning that, each country decides to choose the time of the year in which the Thanksgiving holiday will be held, or even void it in some cases, as I've heard. And for the 385927th time, Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Thank you for your loving, kind post. I had a wonderful day and I truly hope you, and the other myLotters did too! I truly hope that everyone had a blessed day!...atheist and otherwise. This is our country's heritage, and I hope all enjoyed! Complain tomorrow.

Silly as it may be, I have done this in the past with a g/f. Go to the nearest lil store that has Hostess pies. At least years ago (I haven't done it since), for the season, they had pumpkin pies. But they always have apple. And there is this other brand I can't remember the name of, that has chocolate pies - they are the bomb! Just a silly suggestion that satisfied at least our need for pie to complete the dinner.
