the gormenghast trilogy by Peake is some of the finest dark fantasy ever created...read it...NOW!

I was never really that much of a Harry Potter fan, to be honest, I don't know why, it just never caught on for me...my all time favourite book would have to be Wicked, by Gregory Maguire - when they decided to make it a musical, I was ecstatic, even if they did change it almost beyond recognition, it's still an amazing musical, and the follow up book, 'Son of a Witch' is amazing, too.

Harry Potter will forever rock this generation. HP is really something, I mean, in less than a decade, people were really anticipating the releases of the books. :)
