Do you have any idea why it is called Black Friday? I thought that Black Friday will be associated with some bad day but it is a shopping day then why it is called Black Friday? Any ideas?

i posted the same question several days ago (i am canadian) so i was wondering the same thing. it is because most stores view this day as their make it or break it day (whether they are in the red or the black) thus its called black friday. (so i was told!)

That's what my son told me when I asked him. He said that if you loose money in store it is Red Friday and if you make money it is Black Friday.

Its called black friday because of the crowds and are comparing it to black tuesday (1929 stock crash)
