i tried to cahnge my domain name did i do it correctly..?

O.K I have a blog on blogger..with a blogspot..now I bout a domain name with gdi,..I wanted to put that name for my blog and keep it on blogger but not the blospot bit.. so I put in www in the nbameserver bit on gdi and ghs.gggle.com something like that in the nameserver i.p bit..then I went and did some bits on blogger.. now when i type in jem invest.blogspot it goes redirects to the other domain name..now will that domain name show my original blogger contents in 48 hours? have I done it correctly? please let me know because I am crap with computers.
