1. We have been naturally selected to pass down information to following generations, so yes, we are accumulating knowledge. The rate at which we are doing so is very fast too--in just the last few centuries (which is basically nothing on the evolutionary timescale (a couple hundred years versus over a dozen BILLION), look at how much has changed, and how much more we know.
2. There's no way for us to know for sure what we will evolve into, but there's an interesting hypothesis that has some interesting evidence to go along with it, involving humanity splitting off into two subspecies in the future. You can read about it here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/6057734.stm
3. That is not a simple question to answer. If you are truly interested, here is a good place to start: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_evolution

Welcome to myLot ruthie!
Well I really wonder whether we are as intelligent as we make ourselves out to be. We are gradually destroying the world in which we live so I'm not really sure that that can be considered as being intelligent. I have an idea that the people millions of years ago were more intelligent than us - they made things like the pyramids without all the technology we now have. We accumulate knowledge but we put so much of it to the wrong things. Our idea of being intelligent is to produce arms to destroy others instead of producing food to feed the hungry. We prefer to go to outer space instead of looking after planet Earth.
In my opinion we are not as intelligent now as much as were were one hundred years ago. Then there were so many important and useful inventions put to good use and not to detroy and destruct.
