I always add tags for my benefit actually. It also helps
bringing up similiar discussions, related to the tag words,
at the bottom of the page too.

I always add the max of ten tags to my discussions, responses, and comments. If you don't then go back to the same discussion it askas for them again till you do add them. I add tags that are related to the discussion. Also if you don't add any to your discussion the first person to respond adding tags, those tags will show up on your discussion. I've seen nasty tags added due to this neglect of one not placing them there themselves. So I feel it's always good to add the max amount to all things done as far as tagging goes. Thanks.

Thanks Grandpa Bob. I also think the one who starts the discussion must add at least one tag. I always do. But i have never come across bad disgusting tabs, may be i am not on mylot for that long or may be i am purely negligent (my bad). Its nice of you to point this out and in future i must go through tags posted by other people as well. It sure is a good way to keep a track of your interests. Have a nice day and take care.

I generally tupe the key words of discussion. However if the discussion is too small and i feel there are no key words i skip them. i picked the idea of tags from here and implemented in one of our internal tool. Tagging has become a very useful appraoch to search patterns and find similar discussions.

I usually put tags on discussions I start. I also put tags on discussions I respond to. For my tags, I try to use key words that are relative to the discussion. Sometimes my tags get added to the list, sometimes not!

I often times put tags every time I make a new discussion or when I respond to a particular topic. The tags makes the discussion easy to find. I think it also affects the interests of other members. If you added a friend tag, then those who has an interest in friend would see the discussion. This is why I try to put more tags when creating discussions. I also make some tags after responding to a discussion. Some of it are based on my response and some are those that I think is not yet included in the tags. I sometimes skip when I do not know what tag to put or when I think the discussion has already those tags.

It is 1975 on the points scale when you have desired the knowledge regarding it.Not many peoples can be so strange.Okay I share my knowledge to you in this regard.
It is the tags that links up discussions of all stuffs that are in some way or the other related to yours. The basis being the tags scheme.
