TV enabled handset

TV enabled handset - These are the few models that are capable of streaming TV programs on the handset.
Some of them were showcased in the Communic Asia this year.

The number of models that are available in the market is very limited. Those that could stream TV programs are mostly in countries that are supporting CDMA. These three models were mentioned in the news together with the announcement of the license for bidding. Namely the Samsung Samsung SGH-P930, Nokia N77 and the Pantech IM-S240K. In time to come, there will be more models that could handle the TV program streaming. I wonder if the telcos are going to stream the TV programs to not TV enable set via Video Streaming or not?

Yep... the chinese sets which can receive Free-to-air channels are now very hot. I had a look at them again since I last posted this thread. There are much more models since then. They are quite feature packed. But one thing is lacking. All of the models which TV can be received via an antenna, are not MMS capable. One of the more common messaging method after SMS is not supported. This sort of held me back from purchasing one set actually. They cannot receive or send MMS. Which I feel is a step backwards rather than forward. Until the time comes where such a set can receive and send MMS, I guess I will stick to the more commonly available handsets for now.
