Does anyone here like fanfiction? Either reading or writing it or both? My favorite show of all time is the Dukes of Hazzard (original tv show) and I love to read and write Dukes of Hazzard fanfics. Anyone else here like to read or write stories based on their favorite tv shows, movies, etc.?

No, I don't like it. It's mostly because there are so many people out there who just cannot write. It's sad, so I just don't go look. It's kinda the same with some of those freelance sites, but they tend to be a little better when they're not written by kids.

I used to make/write comica of fanfiction, of musical groups I liked. I'm not very intersted in fanfiction other people write, though.

I have written exactly one fanfiction. It was about an anime, and it was basically just a conversation that I felt two characters should have had and didn't.
I do read fanfiction a lot though. Usually about anime, though there are a few live-action tv shows that I'll occasionally read it about (mainly Buffy the Vampire Slayer). I'm not sure I've ever read any fanfiction based on movies.

I love to read Dawsons Creek fanfaction in my free time, its become and obsession for me I have close to 900 stories saved right now. I would like to write some but I dont think I would be able to get it out in words in a way that the readers could make sense of it. hehe

I got into writing fanfiction in 2005 after spending years imagining scenes that should of/could have happened between my favorite characters on the shows/movies I liked.
I have written 4 pieces (2 finished and 2 unfinished so far) for That 70s Show.
It is hard to find good fiction, though. You have to wade through all the stuff that sounds like it is written by 16 year olds with no concept of grammar and don't seen to know how to use spell check. I tend to find "best" lists from fansites to track down the best fiction.
I like to read That 70s Show, Buffy, Angel and Harry Potter stuff mostly. I'll probably start writing Buffy and Angel fics next (I just started watching the shows over the summer but I am totally hooked into them).

I like fanfiction to read but I haven't written much in quite some time. When a show called "Apple's Way" and "Family" were running on prime-time television spots, I was penning a play-of-sorts with an antagonist, protagonaist, a few mythical creatures and came up with a novella so different from either of the shows and based little in common-place consequences, my agent is evaluating it as I write this piece here at myLot . . . I did a review for Heroes at the link below but I don't think it stands out as fan'fiction, or does it ?
