We see todays youth they are moving from traditonal marriages to proffesional ?

We see our parents in india being married at the tender age of 16-20 and now we cannot imagine that so but now the young boys and girls first want to eastabilish themselves up to 30's and then they think of marriage.The traditional flavour of marriage is loosing out to proffessional and commercial aspects?So many years ago a marriage was 7 days rigrous festivity and enjoyment .today we see these are 1-2 day affairs.

dear devenpintu, are you saying that your seeing that India socially is becoming more like the West. how prevelant is this trend in India, today?

dear stanzi2007 ,i am veru much sure indian social structure is changing from the traditional to proffessional and i can't say they are moving toward west,they are making there own socila structure according to their carrer requires.Even i know that 3/4 of indi ais youth and they are the fast changing and evolving force in india with respect to globalisation

dear devenpintu...yes it's amazing...i have made so many friends on mylot.com who are from India, and the young people are far more grownup then i would say the majority of youth here in the united states...they are awesome...such great thinkers...they will be the leaders...and they will make great professionals...thank you for responding and i hope that you will keep in touch...stanzi

you are absolutely right devenpintu.but since the time is changing very fast and its a very competitive time now.indians are very capable of doing a lot many tihngs but lack of opportunity people are nt able to do so.everyone needs to make a career of their own to earn their living.previously time was different.everyone had work for themselves.people had lot many children those days so now thecompetion has increased.finding a job today is very tough.then how will one feed his spouse and kids.that's why till one is settled in life they donot want to go for marriage.now nobody has time ,so nobody can affored to spend 7 days affair now.i guess after 2-3 generation people will not have even 1 day to spare for their marriage.but i guess this is all life.
