How to protect your notebook?

I have bought one notebook(Asus).It always meet some problems,such hardware and software issue.I use windows XP system.Mu computer always meet the virus.I donot know the reason.And the only way is to format my disk,It is confused me so deeply.Do anybody can give some good suggestion for me?thanks.

I use AVG, which you can download free and it updates itself automatically. Also I have installed Zonealarm firewall which you can also download free, and finally adaware, another free download to deal with malware. all the best urban

thanks,I will try to use norton or rusin software to protect the computer.If no good result,i will try to use your reference.

I have used Norton, I found it slowed the machine down to much and found it not as good. all the best urban

You don't affraid with viruses now. Get Antivirus Update daily and scan daily too.
