Realy like to know how do you feel about all those people, trying make a better living at your expenses.
Do they deserve our help or should they be send back where they came from?

Illegal immigration is a problem. They do affect the citizens and the legal immigrants. If you want to go to a different country do it right. If you are found they should send you back and make sure that you can not legally come back for a certain amount of time. If it happens again then you should not be allowed to enter legally ever. If you come here legally you should have to pay taxes just like everyone else because you sure quailfy for the benifits during that time also. I don't have anything against immigration if it is legal, have a basic knowledge of the language and the writen language, (this is a safety issue for yourself)(I would think I should know these things if I went to a different country to live). Illegal immigrants should have some punishment because they know it is wrong. There are always exceptions to these rules and should be judged on an individual sitution.

Yes, you are right, they know it's illegal, but what if they don't get any chance. Just think about people living for example in desert areas. What choices they have? And just because they are from country that is on some list, they are marked forever. Why some can visit and live in your country and others can't? How do you select those who are worth it and those who aren't?
That's the problem. Only bacause you've been born in country "A" means that you're better than somebody born in country "B"?
Thanks for your comment "dobyladysaturn".

it is easy to say to deport overstaying or foreigners without papers. but could you imagine the US without those "illegal" immigrants? im sure some citizens will say, yes. i doubt if the US government also sees it the same way some citizens do. the US economy needs those people.
here in costa rica, the same issue has been going on about nicaraguans. but costa rica can not simply dismiss the contribution of nicaraguans to the coffee picking season. very few costa ricans will do the job so nicaraguans are more than willing to fill the void of workers in coffee harvesting.
illegal immigration is a way of alienating other people. since most of these people are doing productive work, we should help them get into the society and not kick them out. but for those who merely stay and engage in illegal activities, they deserve to be deported; but not all foreigners are like that.

You comment is very true!
But how to make sure, that you keep track and at the same time don't violate freedom of movement?
If you open borders for everyone with some sort of rules, will they play by them?
Or do you think that restrictions on immigration are bad?
I do very well understand what your point is, but on the other hand, we are not anymore living in medieval times, UNFORTUNATELY, to go and do ,what and when, we want.
