Is it better to buy a car new or used??? Why???

Tell me do you think it is better to buy a car used or new???. I brought my car used with only 28,0000 miles on it, and I have not had a major problem with it yet, thank god.

My family has almost always bought used cars, and had very good luck with them. They say that a new car loses something like 25% of it's value the moment you sign the papers and drive it off the lot. So, why would you pay a new car price when you can go buy one with a few thousand miles on it for almost half the price? I bought my truck 4 years ago for $13,000. It was 3 years old but had only 16,000 miles on it. It would have cost over $23,000 to get the same truck new. Apparently, the firs 15,000 miles are the most expensive! ;-)
