Are You A Part Of Black Friday? What Time Did You Go?

Black Friday shopping began at 4:00 AM for us. Starbucks even opened their doors at 3:00 AM. I thought of actually joining in the fun but my bed wouldn't let me go. People were camping out in front of department stores. What's up with that? So how did your Friday go. Were you there?

It seems we all would rather stay at home and shop at our own convenience. Sometimes I am curious though of how crazy it really gets. If I had gone this morning I think I would have gone home after a few minutes with nothing in hand.

I have never been and never plan on going shopping on Black Friday. At 4 am I was in bed sound asleep. I would rather pay full price for something than go to any store on Black Friday and get a discount. To me the crowds are not worth it.

You and me both, Lilybug. I had a hard time sleeping anyhow and didn't get to sleep until 3:00 AM. So I really didn't want to get up an hour later. The crowds would have given me a panic attack anyhow.

I didn't go shopping Friday. Shopping is not my favorite thing to do plus one of our daughters was married last night so we had tons of things to do yesterday. I did see the crowds on tv and it looked like fun.

well normally im part of the Super early crowd but this year i had all my shopping done so i had no need to hit the stores at 5 am however at noon i did head out to "check " things out and almost all the stores run a fri/sat sale so i was able to get some extra last minute gifts mainly dvds and video games at a good price but even at noon there was no parking, the lines were super duper long and the aisles were beyond crowded

Crowds make me nervous. Glad I stayed in bed. Hopefully I'll still find some good deals for Christmas later. Have a wonderful Friday evening, my friend.

Black Friday is the busiest shopping day of the year for us here in the US. It's the day right after Thanksgiving. Stores will open as early as four in the morning. I've never gone that early and I don't think I'll ever make it either. Hope you get all your Christmas shopping done. Have a wonderful weekend.

I have never gone shopping on Black Friday. I used to work in retail. So I have experienced Black Friday from the employees side. And that is a scary thing! I stay as far away from stores as I can the friday after Thanksgiving. It gets crazy.

I actually got up this morning the first time at 4 a.m. and could have decided to go Shopping, but since I had to work, there was no way that I was going to be Crazy and do any shopping today. I actually have worked retail in the past, and can remember the craziness. For me, I prefer to avoid the malls, etc. and wait until later, or do it online. Just a lot easier.

I was going to to Black Friday this yr for the first time ever but when I was at my gfs last weekend talking to her about it, first off she had to work and secondly she very frankly said that it would be a very bad idea if I were to go LOL She's known me for nearly 20 yrs now so I took her word for it LOL...

Shopping for us didn't start until 5AM. We left the house about 4AM and got there 20 minutes early, so I staked out a spot as close to the ropes as I could. They actually let us start shopping about 5 minutes before 5, which isn't bad. We were out of the store by a little after 6 and home by 7:30 because we stopped at Mcdonalds and got some breakfast. Walmart actually lets everyone in the store before the sale starts, they just rope sections off, so no camping out for us.

All I did today is work. I sometimes think about going shopping on Black Friday for the deals, but my social phobia just couldn't handle it. I've done it once in my life I think. We weren't sure whether it would be very busy or very slow at the bank where I work, but it turned out to be very slow. So we mostly did decorating and stuff. :P

No, I did not participate in black Friday. Never have. I would rather sleep (in my home, not outside one of the stores :P) during the time these stores doors open. :P I'm pretty sure I saw on the news last year some people just about getting trampled by the black Friday crowd. This is another reason why I wouldn't participate in such a thing. I wouldn't want to risk getting injured just to try and get a good deal on something that I might miss out on anyway.

Will I live in Canada and every year my husband and I come down to the states before Christmas to shop. Will know that is not true. We actually come down for a couple of days just for a little bit of a get-a-way and we do a little bit of shopping. I would say the majority if not all of our christmas shopping is done at home. When we heard about the black Friday Shopping we did consider for a second that maybe it would be a good idea to make our little trip that weekend to get good deals for christmas. Like I said we thought about it for a second and that might be stretching it! Oh my gosh we dont' even go out for the Boxing Day Sale here in Canada. I went once a few years ago late in the afternoon when I heard the stores were practically empty. I ran up to one store to see if they still had a certain wallet that I saw before christmas. They did! I got it and was out of there. Nope me and shopping don't go well together at the best of times! Good for you for staying in bed!

No, not my idea of a good time. And since we were not able to have Thanksgiving at home, (we went to my daughters), we did a little one here and started putting up some decorations. We had a really good time today, I could do it all over again..:)

I didn't even get sleep. I stayed up all night on the computer doing my Christmas/Black Friday shopping at shops that let me buy online. For things that I couldn't get online I got up at 2AM with my sisters and showered and got ready to head the door by around 3AM. Crazy but we do it every year, it's like a total bonding experience for me and my sister. We shop like crazy. All that excitement of meeting strangers who are out there to knock you out to get the same item that you would like to get (just kidding). But, it's fun with all those people and that shopping for bargains man it was a total rush. Great fun. Now I can't sleep though too much coffee.

I was supposed to go, but I was really was too tired and also my paycheck didn't arrive, so I would have had nothing to shop with anyway. I'm just lucky my grandma sent me $10 for Thanksgiving, so I could do some laundry and buy detergent, so as to address my evergrowing laundry pile.
