I avoid shopping during the holidays at all costs. I try to get the shopping done by mid November. We only take one trip to the Malls usually just to look around and get all "Christmasie".

We do much as you do, shopping wise, porkrind. But we get Christmasie by driving through the neighborhoods seeing the decorations.

I did very well shopping on Black Friday. I didn't purchase any of the high dollar items, just some things that I and my sister had found to be good deals. We didn't get started too awfully early around 7:45 so we missed the bigger rush. It seemed like by the time we got there the stores were still crowded but the lines were moving very quickly. We had fun and didn't really have any frustrating moments!

Hey Hopejordan, In America the fourth Sunday of November is a national holiday, Thanksgiving. Over the past decade or so the day that follows is the day merchants hope to find themselves in the black for the years. It kicks off the Christmas shopping season and is the busiest shopping day of the year. It is a day I avoid the malls and all shopping districts!

I avoid the stores at all costs on Black Friday. I don't like shopping to begin with and I really don't like crowds. Put them together and it really sounds miserable to me! I am actually done with my Christmas shopping for this year except for a few stocking stuffers for my parents, so it all worked out anyway.

For me a blue unicorn isn't too hard to find. I wear one on my leg as a tatoo. But I know what you mean. I just had to pick on you a bit!
