Black Friday Craziness!!

So, my husband and I did the dreaded Black Friday shopping today. I figured it shouldn't be that bad since he's a bartender and would be getting off around 3:30AM when the first store we were going to opened at 4am; we'd be awake already, so WHY NOT?!?
It wasn't that bad until we went to the next store that had a line around the side and back of the building. We stood in line for about 30 minutes before the store opened (some people had camped out that night, there were blankets and chairs, it was crazy). It was FREEZING COLD!!!! I love to people watch, and some of the people in line were definitely interesting.
It's sad, though, that even during the holidays, when people are suppose to be happy and joyful, that they can still be so rude to their fellow man!! I could give a couple different examples during our short 30 minutes of waiting, but I'll stick to just one. As I mentioned, some people camped out, and others had waited in line for hours in the freezing cold, but once the doors were open and the line slowly started moving in there were people that had been sitting in their cars to stay warm walking up to the front doors thinking they could just walk up instead of wait in line. My husband and I were in the next group of people to go into the store, when a lady walked up and joined us with fresh, hot coffee thinking she was going in. Luckily, some guys in the crowd, including my husband, stood up to her and told the guy working the door not to let her in because she had cut line. The NERVE of some people!!!!!
On the bright side, some ladies from Chick-fil-A were handing out fresh chicken biscuits! That was nice and thoughtful for all the hungry, cold people waiting in line.
Let me know if you did any shopping today on Black Friday, and share some of your stories....
