Do you take your breaks or do you work right through them?

One of the reasons I really like being self-employed is that when I worked in big corporations - and I worked in some of the Fortune 500 companies... I never had a chance to take breaks. And most of the time I was working extra hours with no overtime because I was "on salary". So now, as my own boss, if I feel like taking a break, I do. And no, I do not charge my clients for my breaks. LOL

When I worked of others, I never took a break. Now I am self employed and I don't take breaks. Guess you can call me a work ahoholic.

Sometimes I take a break at work and sometimes i do not, as it depends on how much work needs to be done and when. I always take a lunch break but the other breaks depend.

Hi! When I worked outside the home, I always took my breaks. Now that I work from home, I don't really think of it in those terms. Besides, when I get up from the computer, it's usually to do housework, so I guess that's not really a break.

I agree that doing housework is not really a break. Watching tv or listening to music would be a break in my opinion. :-)

I take a long break at 12.30, when I go home to have lunch and I come back at 14.00. During the morning and the afternoon I usually don't take breaks: if I'm doing a long work and I am fully concentrated I don't "remember" to take breaks :) Other times I do diversified works, so that one work is like a break relatively to another work.

I always take my lunch breaks but sometimes I will skip my morning and afternoon breaks to get important work done. It nice to have the option of taking a break if we need one.

That is very interesting. My job doesn't allow me to take breaks too often since I am working with students and a lot of them do not take breaks either.

I work for a nursing agency so I don't really get breaks! When I had jobs where Breaks were given,I almost always took the breaks .With all the hours that people work, those breaks are quite deserved.

Help easier to find if you plan ahead. Find a children or seniors program in your area that can provide you with a few hours of down time and locate someone to help with the laundry and cleaning at least once a week. If money is an issue, it may be possible to exchange these services with a friend or neighbor.
